The Weather Vane
Lockdown Day 17
Another glorious day, and after work Alan carried on working on the area of side garden where the hot tub’s going to go. So I took the boys out on my own and did the circuit down to the coast road, along the cliffs and back.
We walked up to the weather vane which is a monument that was built to mark 50 years of the end of the world war. From here you can look down on Saltdean and I think it’s a stunning view, particularly with the sun setting over the sea. I was shocked to see a group of 7 youths together on their bikes, they definitely weren’t 2 meters apart and very doubtful they were from the same household, I bet their parents didn’t have a clue they were meeting up with each other. Sadly this is the kind of behaviour that will put us into a much stricter lockdown I’m sure!
By the time I got home, Alan was already laying the paving slabs, he’s done a good job! It’s only temporary though as we still need to replace the fencing before we can lay a proper floor, but it’ll do for now.
And tonight I managed to catch the moon rising over Steve & Nicola’s house across the road. It actually looked bigger and brighter than last night (see my extra).
Boris is still in intensive care and another 938 people lost their lives today.
