Jam day 2

We got on with the jam making this morning before it got too hot. The final 2.6 kgs of rasps were processed and we now have 36 jars.

They are recycled jars, so of varying sizes. Having worked out what we were doing yesterday, we had quite a production line running and were faster!!! I also managed to get the washing done at the same time.

We made changes to the labels today, so that if there is any difference between the two batches we will know which belongs to which !!

The sewing done this afternoon was less successful. The temporary adhesive that I used on the quilts yesterday doesn’t seem to be working, so there was slippage of the backing material. I had to unpick !!!! Not my style....I aim to get it right first time!!!!
