Mucking About On The Mekong

Today we drove about two hours by coach from Saigon through fertile rice and vegetable fields to the city of Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta. The day was spent messing about on boats and cycling alongside the waterways.

At one point our guide, Loc, wanted to take  photos of each couple posing on the prow of the boat in what he called a "honeymoon" shot. We tried puckering up for him but,as you can see, we couldn't do it for laughing :)

Our hotel is lovely, right by the river with a big outdoor pool, so we enjoyed a late afternoon swim and yet another excellent meal, this time in the hotel, followed by drinks outside on a balmy evening.
