Lockdown, Day 28
S tries to improvise a pingpong table. The sun lounger wasn't bouncy enough, so he added the long mirror from the bedroom. It's only about a foot wide, so precision was required. Watch out Shay, with this high-tech equipment he'll slaughter you when we get back! Which might not be till the end of May at this rate.
It was warm and sunny enough to spend the afternoon in the garden, reading. Bit lazy on the food front: S made a tomato and goat's cheese salad, then we had some prepackaged fresh pasta and mushroom sauce from Mercadona. However, I did my bit, simmering sliced, under-ripe pears that had been in the fruit bowl for two weeks in cream and vanilla sugar -- an old favourite I haven't done for a long time.
We've just been out for the daily 8 pm applause; today the poor guy with the vuvuzela who normally introduces it has been completely outplayed by someone in the block of flats opposite playing "I Will Survive" in Spanish on a massive professional sound system. We had to wait till it finished to applaud.
