A little ray of sunshine

Rush hour...

There was 4 people waiting to catch the train this morning at a time when you usually have to squeeze yourself in to the carriage. Leeds station, a major transport hub was quiet, just a dozen or so people headed down the slope and off to their jobs. Other that our almost daily outings to Northcliffe, I haven't left the house for a fortnight.

As predicted, work was much changed, both physically with new walls and doorways being put in, and also in terms of our workload. Much of our work has been cancelled, with few operations continuing, and there reduction in ED admissions from 'accidents' without all the sports injuries, and so many less vehicles on the road. Much of the work we did have was all covid19 related, either confirmed or suspected. Whilst patients are swabbed for the virus, the results can take a while to come back, but an xray may show signs in an instant, putting us at the front line of diagnosis.
