My dear friend called this morning to ask when I was having my Bud Light. I told her not before 5 pm. She said, “ okay, see you then.” I texted back did she like proseco because I had some in the refrigerator. We sat on the dock, more than 6 feet apart, and talked about life, for two hours and forty minutes. It was wonderful. I have known this woman since 1988, our kids all know each other. Thank God for our long time friends who have seen us at our best and stood by our sides through the the darkest days....they are true gifts.
