Painted Lady
Dandelions sprang up in the backyard overnight and along with them came bees and butterflies! I'm sure they're desperate because nothing else is really blooming yet, although it looks like the trees will flower soon. I'm glad they haven't yet because we're expecting snow and cold starting tomorrow. So, shorts and T-shirts for the past week and boots and down jackets tomorrow. Springtime in the Rockies. :-)
I didn't accomplish a lot today but I did get the banana bread made and PD approves. I wish I had walnuts to add but I only had almonds and that really didn't sound good. I did about 30 minutes on the Health Walker and then ate a bunch of jelly beans to cancel it out. I'll be glad when the jelly beans are gone because I have no will power! Then I worked on the puzzle for a while.
Just when I sat down to work on my blip, my brother sent me a Zoom invitation. I joined the meeting but it was his first time so we mainly worked on getting him set up and comfortable with it. He wants to do music together but there is a bit of a lag so he's going to try to figure out how to fix that. In the meantime, he wants me to get out my guitar and start playing again. I can't even remember the last time it was out of the case but it's been a lot of years. I'm going to get it out tomorrow and see if there's any life left in the strings before I chop off my fingernails. ;-)
I am always grateful for time spent with my brother. We were always close but we got busy working and raising families. We're retired now but we both have busy lives and we don't make enough of an effort to get together. Now we're both locked down with nothing but time and we've talked more in the last month than in the last year. A silver lining of sorts.
My Painted Lady looks much better large. :-)
Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Stay safe and well, my friends. xx
