Sights from my Bike Ride
I felt lazy this morning and decided I would sit and work on my puzzle and listen to a book. So, I grabbed a second cup of coffee and sat at the table. Then PD came in and said, "What are you doing? It's already almost 70 (F). Aren't you going for a ride?" I told him I was going to have a lazy day. He convinced me to go out to the deck with my coffee and proceeded to talk me into going for a ride. So, off I went and I'm so glad I did. It was a wonderful day and a great ride that turned out to be 30 miles. So much for being lazy!
I've been noticing that my brakes are getting worse with every ride and Trixie is making some new noises. I decided today that it really isn't safe to ride anymore until the brakes are fixed so, with crossed fingers, I called the bike shop. I was happily surprised to find the shop open and they said I could bring her in today and have her back on Monday. She will get a full tune up and brake adjustment and be as good as new. :-))
I am grateful to Pipersdad for convincing me that riding is much better than being lazy! He has always been wonderfully supportive of my hobbies and, after almost 50 years, he knows what's good for me better than I do. :-))
