Just started the Feynman book (Prof Brian Cox's favourite physicist - good enough for me).He lived from 1918 to 1988 and as a pre-teen he was fixing the local people's radios for pocket money. Completely  self taught. He just MUST be the model for Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory!
