Welcome to Southport

Yesterday there was a good inch of snow everywhere - gardens, drive, pathway, road. Woke up this morning to glorious sunshine and no evidence the snow had ever been!

Alison's passion with Living Social had continued so a cheapie Afternoon tea acquired in the Alexandra and Victoria Hotel in Southport beckoned. It was nothing flash but okay and good value thanks to the LS voucher!

Southport seafront and gardens were looking a bit sorry for themselves in the winter sunshine. Mainly closed and in need of a fresh lick of paint and general TLC. None the less we had a short but pleasant walk and standing out brightly were these series of bronze symbols against the blue and almost cloudless sky. I felt the sun symbol said something about Southport so made this image for my blip of the week.
