A day to treasure
I laid out an Easter Egg hunt for the kids even though they are not really kids anymore! It’s a tradition since I was little to find little foil wrapped eggs all over the house, in shoes etc. Usually some are not discovered for days... We took a family walk before lunch which was lovely and the weather glorious again. My daughter and I popped over to check on my Mum. My son had painted her an Easter card. We went down the side gate into her back garden and talked to her at a distance with the red kites swooping above us. She loved the card and said she would treasure it. My son was pleased. Back home to record our submission for a community choir project, dinner and two family zoom calls. My daughter and her cousin had secretly recorded a duet today across the miles and it was aired on our family Zoom call with Chicago family. What a lovely surprise. Something else for Mum to treasure she said. So it might not have been the Easter we all imagined but it felt like we made the best of it. On and the Easter Bunny brought me my favourite kind of egg...
