Tulip Time
Shelly and I took a drive this afternoon down to Skagit Valley. We stopped briefly in Edison to get cookies at the local bakery. They were set up well for social distancing. The we headed on toward the tulip fields in Skagit Valley. On our way we stopped to photograph the bald eagle in its nest. I've seen this nest many times, sometimes with birds at home, sometimes not. This time I think she's sitting on eggs. Maybe next time we'll see babies. We drove on to the tulip fields to take some photos. None of the usual tulip companies are open but they are still growing flowers. So we were able to stop and take some photos. We called Dave and Nora on the way home and all agreed it was safer if we didn't stop by to walk with them while they walked the dog. At least we get to see them on Zoom.
