New eBike
Recovered from my two day blinding migraine and raring to go. Bit of a social media overdrive for my husband’s eBay business since the current campaign (based on the Rogerley fluorites posted a few days earlier) has been so successful.
Then, since we were meant to be in NZ, had to chase up cancelling the last of our bookings - only one outstanding now. It’s really sad to miss out on that #wouldhavebeenepic holiday, still got to unpack our suitcase full of cycling gear and wet weather contingencies.
Did get cycling today - my husband bought me a “new” (secondhand) ebike and we took it for a spin, riding to Mawson to drop off some eBay packages. Mike has got a postage locker which means he doesn’t have to queue up like the people you can see in the background here. A very nice ride.
Lots of cooking today too, some inspired by the previous evening’s Short Cuts to Glory - smashed avocado, baked tomato and poached egg - worked out not too bad.
Dinner is Moroccan chicken and chickpeas with creme brûlée for dessert (most of today’s dishes being inspired by ingredients about to expire)
I think this evening will be dedicated to my son - I think we’ll play Puerto Rico He’s been so good, helping with the poached eggs and creme brûlée, hanging out the washing, exploring courses he might do at uni, and I had meant to give him more attention.
Last night, recovering enough from my lingering migraine to get up, was dedicated to my daughter. We watched our first BalletTV (Sleeping Beauty while she unburdened all her concerns about online schooling, friendship difficulties, finding her one special talent etc
