Communing with the ancestors

We enjoyed a totally solitary walk across Forvie Moor this afternoon.

The objective was to visit the Neolithic ring cairns so that Mrs T. could commune with her ancestors.

The  function of rings cairns is a matter of debate but they were doubtless of ritual significance. (Archaeology speak for "we don't really  have a clue").
