Jumpleads

I woke up at 6am and decided to get up so I could finish my marking. I had planned to get everything finished before lunchtime but the morning turned out to be quite an eventful one. I decided to go to Lidl after breakfast before it got busy so that I didn't have to queue outside. Just before I went to the checkout, my neighbour Charise called to say that her car's battery was flat and she was stuck in the car park of the vets in Twickenham. I called the Bibi to pick me up at the car park as I had bought quite a few things. Charise had said that she would call her daughter to see whether she had any jump leads in her house that we could pick up so Bibi and I sat in the car park outside Lidl waiting for her to call me back. As we were waiting we could see this guy struggling with all of his shopping bags. He had bought so many things and was really struggling to carry all the bags. I asked him if he wanted us to drop his bags off anywhere and he said yes. He threw all his bags into the boot of the car and we then went to help Charise.I told him that we would be about 15 minutes.  Obviously he had to walk as we couldn’t have him in the car with us. When we got to Charise, we set up the jumpleads and then she couldn't find her keys. We looked everywhere for her keys but they were nowhere to be found. This meant that we had to go back to her house to pick up the spare keys. We then decided to take Lacey the dog with us and dropped her off. We dropped off the guy’s grocery bags before returning to charise with the spare keys. He must have wondered where we had been all this time with his shopping. When we eventually got back to Charise, she had found her keys. We eventually got the car started.
I spent the afternoon marking. The weather has changed today, it is quite muggy but it has started to rain. Penny made a wonderful coffee and walnut cake.
Ben went to work in the afternoon.
