DIFFERENT

When you’re different
some ‘normal’ people 
are hell-bent
on making life DIFFICULT
for you.

You cause them to vent
their spleens
(whatever that means).

They STARE at you,
swear at you,
or STUDIOUSLY IGNORE you.

‘STOP BEING DIFFICULT!’
they shout.

You drive them crazy.

But in later life,
when you’re an adult,
some might recognise 
your INDIVIDUALITY
which could result
in you getting a CULT
FOLLOWING.

But not necessarily.
