Well it was good to have my bike back with its normal saddle and it was good to see double dog again this morning.
As my etching paint hadn't arrived I decided to do a couple of none Bentley things.
Firstly as it has now been switched off for the summer I cleaned out the little oil burner stove in the kitchen. I do this every year so it is ready for the winter but I have never cleaned it out so early. I also had to replace the glass front as it had cracked as it became too hot when I lit it on our return from South Africa. Of course I'd found a cheap replacement off eBay which arrive this week.
With the fire cleaned I then turned my attention to repotting my house plants as it's nice to give them fresh earth each year. As usual my Aloe Vera plants had done well with lots of new baby shoots to be potted up. My other strange assortment of plants were doing well too especially my little bonsia tree which I grew from seed some years ago.
By the time I'd finished the repotting the delivery driver had arrived with two litres of etching primer. So after lunch I decided to go ahead with a bit of spraying even though it looked as if it might rain. I masked of the area to paint and started to spray. It was not long before it started spitting with rain so I stopped and put the car back in the garage. Fortunately it was only a bit of rain so I got the car out again and started to paint just as I'd finished it starts to spit again so quickly I drove the car back into the garage. Luckily the primer dries quickly so it was unaffected by the small bobbles of rain.
Early evening we talked to Ashley Hayden and Co on Zoom which is a far better than Skype. Later on we talked on Zoom to my brother Clive and his wife Anne and my sister Tricia and her husband Brad. We usually meet up once a quarter for a meal but this time a chat had to suffice.
