Cowslip

The cowslips in the container in the 'yard are flowering, and have escaped the attentions of the blackbirds. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for most of the tulips - not content with pulling up several of the bulbs, the wretched birds have snapped the stalk of the one tulip that was about to flower. Why have they got it in for the tulips for goodness sake?!

Sad but inevitable news at lunchtime - Whitby Folk Week, due to be held at the end of August, has been cancelled. Hopefully, we'll be there next year.

Started tackling some filing this afternoon, but was overcome by an unusual burst of enthusiasm for getting rid of some now-unnecessary paperwork from almost a decade ago. To be continued...
