A haze of bluebells
A cycle ride out to Hampsthwaite was today's excitement.
On our return journey through the woods near Ripley, I took this shot of the bluebells in the woods. I focussed on the fallen tree and quite like the diffused effect of the bluebells.
I had been trying to blip the pheasant in today's 1st extra, but he darted away and wouldn't come any closer.
We had heard that Sophie's tea room in Hampsthwaite was doing takeaway coffee and cakes. We arrived to find that currently this is only until 1p.m. but Sophie very kindly insisted on serving us with two coffees and slabs of fruit cake (see 2nd extra). All was performed strictly in accordance with social distancing requirements in mind.
