Birthday lights

Today was my daughter’s 19th birthday. Another gloriously sunny day for her which seems to be the same every year. We started out with pancakes and presents. Then later we had lunch in the garden, fun with some bubbles and a little football. After a walk we had two family zoom calls - they had all gone to town - the Canadians had all dressed up in fancy clothes, the Americans donned party hats. It was fun and we sang and shared virtual cake and candles. BBQ dinner outside and then I decked out the “sitouterie”, as I call it, with as many fairly lights as I could lay my hands on and we sat outside with a drink and a few songs. Not bad for a lockdown birthday I think.
