Covent Garden

Half a dozen of these painted figures inhabit a street which acts as a wind tunnel, it was blowing an icy gale down here. How they manage to sit still for hours on end, I can't imagine. This one appears to be suspended in mid air, see the girl's amazed face behind him. The question is - why? Do they collect enough money to make a difference? Beats me ....
