RED VALERIAN

Also known for some reason as "Kiss me quick" or "Pretty Betsey" Red Valerian is not so much a weed as a Wild Flower. However, it escapes quite quickly and settles in odd roadside corners or in hedgerows.

Quite a few examples round my various walking routes; these tend to be self-seeded but you can (when they're open) buy them from specialist growers who have improved their appearance with stronger flower heads.
