GREEN ALKANET

This pernicious weed originates from southern Europe and is considered an evasive species Green Alkanet its root system, like that of Japanese Knotweed, makes it difficult to remove. 

In my daily walks I see it more and more, tucked away in corners where its going to be difficult to dig out its tap root. This example is classic, its growing tight up against a wall.

Possibly attractive because of its little bright blue flowers which start off as almost pink.
