Chaff Warbler

I really needed to get out this morning, and was glad I did. In spite of the blustery wind, there were plenty of birds - Linnets, Meadow Pipits, Swallows, Long-tailed Tits - to name a few - and butterflies - Peacocks, Orange Tips, Green-veined Whites and Speckled Woods. There were also Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs. Despite having become more proficient at telling them apart by song, I have yet to be confident at recognising them by sight. Sadly, the two birds in this spot were not practising social distancing, and although I was listening to a Chiffchaff, when I looked at the image, I felt sure it was a Willow Warbler because of the paler legs. Another in extras.
