Dusk
We decided on another evening walk and stayed out later. As the light faded, we heard the last song of the blackbird and song-thrush and the plaintive cry of a curlew, then as night fell, we heard tawny owls calling and were surrounded by a large flock of bats. Finally, as we approached the house, Mr PB spotted a tawny owl atop a telegraph post. Magical!
