Into the woods

Most of our daily outings are around the block and two "fields" in St Stephen's but we try to do a woodland walk each week too. It's a very short drive to Tyler Hill  and we meet t very few people. We all keep our distance but generally exchange a word. It's nice to hear the voices of other human beings in this strange new world. Tyler Hill is where the tiles for Canterbury Cathedral were made. The Time  Team TV programme  excavated a kiln (I think or clay pit) on the slope and many trees are coppiced and marked by pits and hummocks. The woods would have provided fuel for the tile making. Last time it was wood anemones now bluebells are out.
