Quay Quilters' Sampler Quilt

The blocks go back to QQ beginners' classes and group meetings from 1995. It wasn't till 2014 that I got round to assembling them These are the blocks that started and underpin my quilting journey. I learned to use templates and I learned to draft and have learnt even more methods since. The label lists those women who taught me,; none are in QQ now having died or become very old and frail. Still in QQ I am one of the older ones.  The name Quay relates to the Quay at Faversham - the group started in a house overlooking the Quay. Now we meet in term time in St Ethelbert's school.
