There’s always a place you can not reach
The Shetland ponies were having a great time munching on daisies in the sunshine. This one was having a good groom and the loose hairs provided yet more bedding for the bluetits nest.
Another lovely day, a cool breeze with several gusts as the tide came in.Quite a few interesting clouds too.
I was experimenting with my macro lens , hoping to find a few bugs that do not move very fast ;)
Planted sweet corn and carrot seeds.I added some sand to the compost for the carrots so we’ll see if they like that. The local farms grow mainly fields of carrots and tatties with a few fields of rape and wheat.I can hear the tractors busy in the fields during the day and night and the Spud Hut put on a video showing the process for planting the potatoes.
We had the little leeks from the allotment for dinner, really tasty.Mike is keen to grow some so good job I have a tray of seedlings coming on !
Listened to Sam Lee’s Singing with Nightingales live for Earth Day. Very relaxing with great music with bird sound as a back drop, spells from The Lost Words and other bird poems and folk tales connected with the Nightingale. I listened for a couple of hours and stopped about Chris Packhams informative part and then went outside to look at the meteor shower again. It seemed darker tonight with a clear sky saw a few with one impressive shooting across the sky.
