Tyred Of Waiting Around, Aylesford

This morning we walked along the river path which was supposed to be closed due to a landslip. However, all the barriers had been moved, from the plastic lightweight ones to the heavy duty metal ones which were over five feet tall - it must have taken a serious amount of heft to move those.
When we got to the collapse itself we saw that most of the path had fallen three feet or so, with tendril like cracks in the surrounding tarmac. The wooden fence alongside which was once straight and sturdy was now sitting at a woozy, dipping angle and dangled over the riverbed quite disconcertingly. The repair is supposed to take six months but it looks like all work on it has stopped for now.
On the way back we passed the back of a car showroom where I took today's shot. One of the other showrooms is for Harley Davidson motorbikes and in the large display window, front and centre, was a gleaming beast that was on sale for over £22,000!
