Religiously Under The Marquee, Aylesford

After all of yesterday's shenanigans I was determined to go full tilt at having as enjoyable a day as I could. Started with an early morning run in the glorious sunshine and felt a lot better for it. Fresh air in the lungs and a chance to stretch the old, tired muscles a bit.
Lunch was down to the local village pub with my brother. We had toad in the hole and a couple of pints each sitting outside, watching the river flow silently by in the very warm early afternoon. Very good it all was as well.
Then it was time to pop up to the Friars to try and get today's image. The outdoor seating area was covered by this enormous marquee (see extra) and the whole place made me feel strangely as if I was abroad in some Balkan or east European country. The architecture, religious statues and iconography are all Catholic so maybe that's the reason. It did look beautiful and is always such a restful, calming place to go to.
The rest of the day was good telly, chocolate and the odd glass of wine - perfect!
