Faraway Friends

A single flower of the Spring Gentian, Gentiana verna, in a trough brought over from Norfolk.  It's three of four years since I planted this trough up so I'm pleased to see the gentian is clinging on as they are usually fairly short lived with me.  It won't be long before Hilary, Hibou, Wildmint and others will be seeing them in the mountains.   No trip to see my friends in Switzerland this year, that's for sure.  I look forward to the next time, whenever it is and raise a toast to my faraway friends.
