Sun, Shapes & Shadows 4
This might be the last of this mini series, since tomorrow's schedule is unlikely to provide an opportunity to find anything suitable. We shall see.
In the meantime, these shapes and shadows provided some interest on the end wall of what is perhaps Dublin's ugliest recent building. It was built right beside City Hall, on the site of what used to be a little walled garden. The building is unbelievably disgusting, and may well win an international award for least-sympathetic building ever.
It was another glorious sunny day today, and I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent in town during the afternoon. Carl phoned to suggest meeting for lunch, and we did that. After a quick pint we tried to get in to Les Fréres Jacques on Dame Street, but we were told (rather snootily) that we were too late. It took a while to choose an alternative, but we finally plumped for Chez Max, which is right beside one of the entrances to Dublin Castle. It's very much in the mould of a small French café/bistro, and it was quite pleasant and reasonable. After that it was time to wander around Dublin Castle and then before we knew it rush hour was upon us and we just had to stop off in The Bankers for a parting drink. A really pleasant afternoon.
The rest of the day was uneventful. The main thing was finally getting down to uploading more than a week's worth of blips. The recent gaping gap is now filled, and anyone who might be interested is more than welcome to turn the clock back and head here to catch up. I can't imagine how things piled u to this extent. Never again!
