HOLLY BLUE

I was so excited to see a Holly Blue today, and also that it sat and posed and didn't spiral up out of reach as they usually do. You can see in the extra how compliant it was. The other extra is of what I think is a Gorse Shield Bug, though it was just inside my front door, a long way from any gorse and according to my book I shouldn't be seeing them this colour until July, so the whole ID may be wrong.

Thinking of my Dad today on what would have been his 92nd birthday. I'll phone Mum later and have a chat. She used to like to be left alone on his birthday, but this year she's with sister K and she's having a much more sociable time.
