Montage and Homage to Spring.

This afternoon we took a walk along part of the Antonine Wall. I spotted a chaffinch catching flies and loads of wood anemones wide open in the sunlight. The bluebells are just coming up so that will provide a good excuse to return. To my surprise I also saw that the oak trees were just beginning to come into leaf. They are usually about last to come out so I suppose everything is trying to catch up after the long cool spring.
