Anzac Dawn
We were up before 6am to listen to the live broadcast on Radio NZ, we didn't stand at our gate as folk in the cities and towns did but stood and remembered the fallen and felt deep gratitude. Very moving as we watched the fog recede and dawn emerge.
Our Ella turned 14 today, a photo in extra has just been sent texted through......great to see they are still having family fun even in lock down. The other extra one is Lexi (Australia) Her Dad did the face paint, they put up balloons, happy birthday signs, wore birthday hats plus had a cake with candles then FaceTimed Ella to wish her a happy birthday. How awesome is that. We had FaceTime with them all as well.
Tonight we're watching the movie The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.....I've seen it before and also read the book. I'm enjoying it again.
