Firework explosion of blossom
This mornings dull, cold weather gave way to a sparkling afternoon.
It was what has become the usual Saturday morning of walking to the newsagents for papers and then on into Mote Park where we saw this blossom on what we think is an ornamental tree.
No idea what it is, we thought it might be a type of lilac as it had a very pleasant smell although when we smelt a real lilac later on we veneer it couldn’t have been.
I went to the allotment while Susan did her usual Saturday clean. I’ve now finished laying the turf to make a new grassy path between beds. I spent so time watering, sowing the last row of broadbeans and beheading any mares tails that poke through the soil.
