The Little Room gets a makeover

I know this is a slightly unusual blip, especially after all the local scenery of late, but it does mark a big achievement today. My daughter B stripped off the paper and painted the upstairs loo the week she arrived, but we had to wait for the paper and paste to be delivered. Her vision was just the one wall to be papered with the green fern pattern on pink that matches the chalk paint on the walls. But of course it's the trickiest wall of all, with an inset window, a toilet and a pipe to negotiate???

Well, I have to say, my rusty commercial artist skills came to the fore as armed with scalpel, metal rule and a lot of paste (and my trusty helper), it turned out pretty neat! It was so nice to do something practical for a change, and I'm really happy with this snug little room. You can see the whole thing in extras.
