A Bit of Light Tidying

CMC can’t switch off for one moment; sometimes she takes the hoover with her.  We kissed the blue sky goodbye as we haven’t seen the sun all day, but someone will have.

Late 1950s?  Black and white TV; only one channel.  Everything was broadcast live to air.  I was at an impressionable age.  I used to go to my Granny’s house as we hadn’t got a TV.  I went in and the cookery programme was on (yes even then).  It was Johnny and Fanny Craddock.  But what was he thinking?  Johnny leaned over Fanny’s batter mix and in went his monocle.

She wasn’t happy.
