Saturday
T and I did our spring burning today. It's only allowed until May 1st with a permit from the Fire Department. We have had a very wet, windy spring, so we are down to the wire to get it done. It involved a lot of trudging up and down to the pile, but we managed to get most of the things burned that we wanted to. We are sore and tired tonight after tick checks, showers and a lovely take out meal from Burton's, one of our favorite restaurants. They have a very safe and well organized curbside pickup. It was delicious.
I went through the woods to the relatives and painted rocks with Nora and Hunter(well, he didn't paint) on a wee break from burning. We'll place them on the sides of the path leading to Nora's new house. It's coming along just grand! We will do another batch when T can paint some too with us. We observed our social distancing and had a fun time. A couple more shots in the extras.
For the Record,
This day came in Sunny and warm with no wind for a change.
All hands wary and worn out
