Under A Dark Blue Sky

Clear skies to the west allowed the late sun to stream under the clouds and across the reeds to pick out the yellow willow tree in the distance against a dark blue sky.

Compression from the telephoto throws the foreground reeds out of focus which gives a sense of depth. Unfortunately they also partially obscure the tree and which is a little unsatisfactory, but unavoidable without a stepladder. Perhaps I should have experimented with depth of field, but sadly I didn't.
