Dreamlike

The water surface of the lake undulated with a gentle rhythm which, under a cloudy sky, seemed to me to have a surreal dreamlike appearance, as if it wasn't liquid, but more like a malleable plastic.

I have been experimenting with various techniques in LR to avoid completely black darks. In this image, due to the backlighting, the base of the reeds and their shadows were completely blocked up. This time I used a big brush, with a darks range mask and auto mask switched off, to lift the exposure. It seemed the most expedient, given the number of reeds.
