Gastroenteritis

Penny was very poorly again today. She had sharp pain at the bottom of her stomach and she threw up lots. Eventually, we called 111 and they advised us to visit an out of hours doctor. The doctor said we should go to A&E as she had a heart rate of 140 and they suspected appendicitis so I drove her to West Middlesex hospital. . We waited hours to be seen by a nurse who took her blood then we waited even longer to see the doctor. They said her blood was normal and that she had gastroenteritis. They gave her medicine for the stomach pain and we got home in the early hours of the morning.
