Camassia leichtlinii
Another day of lockdown but again fortunately good weather. The major achievement was finishing the hedge now the new trimmer has arrived. My first experience of a two stroke hedge trimmer! It is a beast I am amazed at what it can cope with. Parts of the hedge, behind our trees had been a bit neglected but it coped no problem.
The blip is a "bud" (technically I suppose a number of buds which will form an inflorescence) which hopefully will soon open into lovely blue star shaped flowers. Native to the pacific Northwest of America it was used as a food plant by the indigenous people of the area.
