Playdate fun

We all had a fab day today. I took Maple this morning to meet up with a yummy mummy I have met through a Dubai mum and dad support group. He son is 10 months old and adorable, he has such a sparkle in his eyes. We sat on the veranda of a cafe and looked out over the marina while chatting about everything child related including childbirth, hospitals, placentas and so much more! It was refreshing to talk to someone so open-minded, clued-up and like-minded :-)

In the afternoon I took all three kids to The Lakes for a playdate at another fellow kiwi mum's house. She also has three children very close together in age so it is lovely to have that level of understanding between us! She invited another kiwi mutual friend and her son around so it felt very homely. We even got to eat chocolate mint slices all the way from kiwiland!

Oscar and Bailee had a blast as always. Bailee's play with other children is developing a lot; she thoroughly enjoys it and I love to see the interaction. In thinking about it, most of her play has been with boys as our antenatal group in the UK was mainly boys. Today there were two other little girls (And Maple). It was interesting to see the different type of play!

Oscar tends to divide his play between with other children and on his own. Bailee is not so independent, she thrives on socialising. Oscar is a bit like his mummy and daddy; happy with his own company at times!

All and all a fantastic day :-) As you can see in the picture, Bailee was not happy to be going home!
