Wound up in Wexford

Aquilegia

It's rained a good deal of the day.  In extras is a photo of our oak tree catching the last of the sun last night - it may be the last of the sun for this week, judging by the forecast.  Oh well, the garden will be very grateful.

The aquilegia are just starting to come into flower - we seem to have a good variety this year.  Here's one dripping.

I made a late dash to try to post a parcel to Sweden.  Our local Post Office isn't open on a Tuesday at the moment, so I went down to a little sub-Post Office, at a farm shop, only to discover that they do not take parcels above a certain weight.  However, because I had made an essential journey, albeit unsuccessfully, they allowed me to pop into their nursery section and buy some tomato plants.  The tomato seeds W planted sadly seem to have decided NOT to sprout.

Our local Post Office is open in the morning, so I'll be able to get the parcel on its way then.
