Snapdragons on the first wet day for a long time

Snap the dripping dragons
Glistening in the gloom
of the dark gloss of the leaves
and the gaudy, mouthy flowers.
The toothless jaws open,
yawn wide and SNAP! but
oh so gently
in the deep pink yellow shadows
of the delicate petals...
