The Claiming of the Shrew

This morning Purdy found a shrew.  She didn't injure it although it must have been very frightened as she sniffed it and touched it with her paw.  Above you can see her staring at the shrew which is visible towards the bottom on the left.  While she was concentrating on it a large carrion crow flew low over her and landed about 10ft away.  Purdy ran forward towards the crow but then realised that this bird was a bit bigger than she thought.  The crow taunted her for a few moments, see extra, before flying directly over Purdy, grabbing the shrew and flying off.  Purdy was more than a bit upset and went off to sulk under a bush!
