Strange Hybrid?

Aware as I am that Hebe will hybridise freely I was surprised to see golden yellow flowers on this purple specimen.

I'm kidding, it's just a self-set Berberis darwinii growing through the foliage. Oh, and a Pieris behind it.

Pretty though, isn't it?
