Redpoll in the cherry tree
After watching Farmer Rob at Cannon Hill Farm and Chris Packham and Megan in the New Forest (They had several good articles about Wildlife from your window ) it was into the garden with a cuppa. A nice day again starting off at just above 1 degree and warming up quickly. The blossom is almost out on the cherry tree so I was determined to get some bird shots amongst the blossom. The redpoll landed for a few seconds so just got a two shots before it was back on the feeder. The bluetits have been pulling off the blossom , are they after the nectar and does it ruin the chance of having cherries ?
The sparrows have been mating and still taking in feathers.
I found some more pots that I can plant up so sowed some onions and more peas and broad beans as well as another go at the runner beans. The ones I took outside way too early do actually look ok but no harm in having more.
The pumpkins and the Kale are now up.I was wondering why there was still no sign of the Aquilegia or Edelweiss but they can take up to 3 months the germinate !
Had a corn beef hash ‘thing’ for dinner that was actually really tasty .
A chilly , cloudy evening so I stayed in the warm and watched The Repair Show Will catch up on Sewing Bee tomorrow :)
