No golf today.
Last day of April 2020.
My birthday at the start. And lots of not a lot during the month. But as a family we’re well and doing fine.
Younger son was busy on High School zoom meetings most day. He’s very settled in my office. He led a short workshop on digital learning, topical or what? Funny to think of school in-service days when they’re shut, but there’s a lot of preparation going on, as well as some continuing education. Older son’s fiancé had a Primary School in-service too. Sounded a bit bureaucratic.
My wife sorted through some old family papers in the morning and we watched the First Minister’s press conference. She didn’t rise to media bait to make comment on Westminster’s failure re 100,000 tests. More on Scotland’s testing policy tomorrow. She’s on top of her brief.
After lunch the two of us walked up to and along the burn side and across the local wee golf course. No problems social distancing here! The place was in good condition. I suspect it will be one of the first sporting pastimes to come back as lockdown is eased a little. It’s certainly been mooted.
Family FaceTime was good. Older son and fiancé had had a Chinese carry out delivered. Their local shop reopened today.
And at 8pm #clapforkeyworkers and #clapforNHS took place. Solid result here. Tambourine and whistle in use.
